Lund City Hall

   Buildings

Stadshallen

Lund City Hall is situated in the main square, Stortorget, in the centre of Lund. It was designed by architect Klas Anshelm and built in 1968. The building is internationally acclaimed for its design and visited annually by architectural students from all over the world. Lund City Hall is the venue for concerts, lectures, seminars, conferences and visiting exhibitions.

It is a three storied building with a yellow brick façade. With its ribbon-windows, the third floor houses business premises, a concert hall and the city council session hall. The latter two project higher than the rest of the building and are externally clad in grey-black metal sheeting.
